Terms of Use
These terms cover the Zelefin apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android, and this website. By installing or using Zelefin, you agree to them.
What Zelefin is
Zelefin is a native client for a media server you already run or have access to. It works with Jellyfin, Silo, and Emby. We do not host your media. You need a working server address and an account on that server. Zelefin is not an official Jellyfin, Silo, or Emby product.
Your server and your media
You are responsible for the server you connect to and for having the right to play the files on it. Zelefin does not grant those rights. Do not use the app to access media you are not allowed to use.
No Plus, no subscription
Zelefin has no paid tier, no subscription, and no in-app purchases. There is no Zelefin Plus. Downloads, extra accounts, Live TV (on iPhone and iPad), SyncPlay, notifications, and the rest of the app are included.
Free software
Zelefin is free software under the GNU General Public License v3.0. The source code is on GitHub, and you may use, study, change, and share it under that license. Zelefin plays video with mpv through an MPVKit build (GPL-3.0) and with AetherEngine and FFmpeg (LGPL-2.1); those parts keep their own licenses. These terms cover using the apps and this website. They do not limit the rights the license gives you over the code.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to break, scrape, or overload Zelefin’s push service or this website.
- Do not impersonate Zelefin or use the mark in a way that suggests we run your server.
- Do not use the app for anything illegal where you live.
The app is provided as-is
Zelefin is offered without warranties. Playback, alerts, and downloads depend on your device, network, and server. We are not liable for lost media, failed playback, or server downtime. If a court will not allow this limit, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for Zelefin, if any.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. The date below is the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
